Current Vacancy - UK Business Development Co-ordinator

UK BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT CO-ORDINATOR

JOB SPECIFICATION

In order to continue the growth and consolidate current market share within the UK Motorsport arena, an opportunity has arisen for a Business Development co-coordinator within the Fastener division of the IS-Group of companies (IS-Clarendon).  The role will include all aspects of business development and account management through internal and external communication and  add complementary business skills to the existing sales force. Based out of the Leicester sales office, the successful candidate will be responsible for all Clarendon UK business outside of the F1 market and will undertake full account ownership for all new and existing business within this market sector.

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, the role will include the following duties and responsibilities

  • Sales enquiries & visits
  • Quotation requests
  • Daily account management (all aspects)
  • Promotion events including, Exhibitions and track visits
  • Technical support
  • Order Progressing
  • Generation of new Customer opportunities
  • Additional support to the Internal & External Sales Force
  • Promotion of New Products
  • Address Competition

Objectives:
  • Generate sales from new and existing customers using current network of industry contacts with particular emphasis on Private teams and supporting ancillary manufacturers with (WRC, GP2, GP3, GT, BTCC, LMP, F3000 etc)
  • Research and target new customer potentials with additional products other than what is currently being supplied
  • Improve UK customer service and market intelligence through strengthening of relationships with smaller players and teams (and therefore enhancing Clarendon’s competitiveness). 

Key Attributes:
  • Understanding of the motorsport engineering industry would be preferable
  • Engineering & Fastener knowledge for core products preferable
  • Highly self motivated
  • Ability to work under their own initiative
  • Business qualification and sales experience would be an advantage
  • Team player
  • Willingness to travel (mainly UK)
